Trampoline parks are no longer just a collection of trampolines. Modern trampoline parks are complex environments, creatively conceived concepts consisting of a variety of park modules. What kind of entertainment and exercise do they offer, and how can you combine different modules into a unique experience for your visitors?

Starting guidelines

When designing a park, there are no special rules where a certain module or element should be placed.

But you should always take into account the following few things:

  • target audience
  • the best use of the space
  • the size of the hall
  • obstacles and support pillars in the hall
  • the ventilation system
  • the height of the ceiling
  • position of entrances and exits
  • the rooms planned for socializing (bar, changing rooms, toilets, special rooms for entertainment and birthday celebrations) ...

Module placement recommendations

There are certain recommendations as to where a module should be placed. We will present you an example of Akrobat module placement recommendations and design used in CyberJump Trampoline Park in Budapest.

1. THE MAIN COURT

The main court is the core of the capacity and central part of each Trampoline park. We recommend that you place the main court where the park has the most space, so you can tie as many modules as possible to it. It can be connected to the classic trampolines and jumping areas with attractions such as Valo Jump, Rotating Beam, Dodgeball, Air Bag, Jump Ramp, and Basketball Court.

2. THE NINJA COURT

The Ninja court is a stand-alone module and can be placed anywhere in the park. It encourages users to jump, climb, hang and swing on an unlimited number of different obstacles and put to the test their agility of hands and legs, as well as their speed, balance, and strength. A Ninja Timer can be installed to challenge youngsters to compete against each other, or against the clock.

3. HIGH-PERFORMANCE TRAMPOLINES AND HP WALLS

High-performance trampolines and HP walls are always placed in that part of the hall where the ceiling height is at least 5.8 m. Together these are a standalone module, which is always placed somewhere on the sides of the park, due to the height. This module can also be placed next to a wall.

4. THE CLIMBING WALL OR INTERACTIVE WALL

The climbing wall or interactive wall is placed at the edge of the park, usually next to the installed Dodgeball or High-Performance (HP) wall.

These indoor walls are a great place to get started with rock climbing as they provide a controlled environment, free from wind and rain, where you can build up your skills.

5. THE DODGEBALL

The Dodgeball is placed along the edges of the park as it can obscure the view of the park due to the side walls. It's recommended that the dodgeball is placed where it does not obscure the view and does not present an obstacle.

6. THE FOAM PIT

The Foam pit is all about big air and soft landings. The ideal area to practice your most daring stunts safely into a pool of huge foam cubes. So soft, it will feel like a cloud.

The Foam pit is a stand-alone element. It can be combined with trampolines, battle beams, slacklines, and other modules that allow you to either jump into or over the foam.
