We are happy to share with you a detailed case study about a custom-made Trampoline park - Abenteuerland. It was fully equipped by Akrobat and opened in the year of 2016. The design was made in a way to meet the unique vision of the owner and the special needs of different targeting groups. It's a great and successful business story.
Location: Bispigen, Germany
Size: 1.460 m2
Opening year: 2016
Capacity: Up to 150 visitors per hour
Project duration: Time from design to hand over 3.5 months
Abenteuerland Trampoline Park is located in Bispingen, Germany. Its location is a bit more remote at first glance, as the park is located in a low population density area. It’s a village along with the Hamburg – Hanover motorway. Many of the guests are from the city of Hamburg and some of them are transit ones.
The owner of the Abenteuerland trampoline park is an individual investor, and this was his first park. The basic vision of the client was to offer a customer many different attractions not to be able to explore them all on a single visit. This would bring the customer back for a second visit and therefore generate more visits. The park has been built in a newly constructed building, with a floor space of approximately 1.460 m2.
The park is designed mainly for users above 6 years of age, so it does not include a Toddler area. An exception can be made if the child’s guardian confirms in writing that he/she is responsible for the wellbeing of the child. The child however must be more than 4 years old.
The park and its services include a number of interesting modules that offer visitors hours of entertainment and recreation.
(Abenteuerland, 2019):
1. High-performance trampolines – powerful trampolines that allow visitors stronger and better rebounds as well as higher jumps. The module is suitable for people over 12 years old, allowing the performance of various elements and tricks.
2. Foam pit – foam “caves” or foam cubes into which visitors can jump. They are usually associated with other elements and games.
3. Airbag – an air cushion usually associated with elements such as high climbing walls. Visitors can do activities on the attractions and then simply throw themselves into the soft, giant airbag.
4. Dodgeball – game playing fields similar to the game “Dodgeball”. The visitors are split into two groups and the game is played with balls.
5. Dodgeball attack – a game where the visitors shoot the target with balls.
6. Valo jump – a virtual reality game that allows the visitor to play a variety of “virtual” games either alone or in competition with someone else.
7. Rotating beams – visitors aim to avoid the moving, rotating rod. When they are hit and pushed off, they will fall out of play.
8. Ninja warrior – visitors can test themselves on numerous ninja courses that vary in complexity.
9. Zipline – visitors can try an adrenaline descent down the zipline, which uses the space above the trampoline park.
10. Climbing walls – jumpers can also test themselves in indoor climbing. An airbag will catch them on their descent.
11. Augmented walls – these are climbing walls that, through the help of projections, allow participants to play numerous games.
12. Battle beams – visitors fight each other on thin beams with a foam pit underneath. The winner makes the loser lose balance so that he falls into the pit.
13. Slacklines – visitors can train their balance on special slacklines and see how they handle walking on a rope.
Trampoline park visitors are offered both classic and digitally equipped trampoline modules. The last one particularly impresses younger visitors, as they can compete with their peers, play fun games and set new records.
In order to maximize visitor capacity, and to further optimize the use of the park, the sidewalls and the ceiling were incorporated into the design. A Rope course and a Rope slide have also been installed. The park can take up to 150 visitors per hour. The time frame between design/planning till the handover was 3.5 months.
The park has also designed interesting package deals. Children can celebrate their birthdays there and choose between three Birthday party packages. Food can be supplemented from McDonald’s or Subway as well as a Drink Package. These packages are:
