A unique outdoor trampoline constellation was set up by the company Akrobat in the heart of the Slovenian capital city, right above the Ljubljanica River. This venue hosted the biggest European trampoline event of 2024 – Akrobat Odbito na Ljubljanici.
Slovenian company Akrobat, a world-renowned leader in trampoline manufacturing, collaborated with the acrobatic team Dunking Devils and the agency Extreme to host the world’s largest trampoline event from June 28 to 29, 2024. Named Akrobat Odbito na Ljubljanici, the event once again delivered a thrilling mix of adrenaline, fun, and countless acrobatic stunts.
An epic two-day event deserves a spectacular setting, and the center of Ljubljana certainly lived up to its reputation. The riverbanks, bridges, and terraces quickly turned into spectator stands for all the acrobatics enthusiasts and spectators, while the trampolines, set up over the Ljubljanica, undoubtedly took center stage.
As one of the leading trampoline manufacturers, Akrobat provided all the jumping surfaces spread over the Ljubljanica River. They installed:
Akrobat also ensured the event’s safety by providing all the necessary mats, safety nets, and other equipment, making the entire experience unforgettable and completely safe.
Akrobat has consistently made sure that the event Akrobat Odbito na Ljubljanici is known for its superlatives, and this year was no exception. In collaboration with the acrobatic team DD Squad, the world’s biggest freestanding trampoline, Megatramp, was introduced specifically for this event.
However, Megatramp is not just the biggest freestanding trampoline; it embodies more than two decades of Akrobat’s commitment to crafting top-notch trampolines. Designed to meet the highest bounce requirements, essential for performing the most impressive and high-flying stunts by the DD Squad, Megatramp represents a significant leap forward in innovation and design.
It’s clear that Megatramp promises unparalleled excitement while pushing the boundaries of the trampoline industry.
The numerous trampolines above the Ljubljanica, coupled with the unique atmosphere, were more than enough to attract top acrobats from Slovenia and around the world to the Akrobat Odbito na Ljubljanici event. The event featured various high-level competitions on three different types of trampolines.
The highlight was the competition for the highest jump on the Megatramp trampoline, where a new world record was set. British acrobat Ernest Brenchley thrilled the audience by surpassing last year’s record by 3 meters, reaching an incredible height of 17 meters.
The Megatramp trampoline also hosted a competition for the most impressive acrobatic trick. The victory went to Jan Žnidaršič from the DD Squad, who captivated the audience with his stunning acrobatics. Additional excitement was provided by the freestyle acrobatics’ competitors.
However, Odbito na Ljubljanici isn’t just a competition; it’s also a fantastic showcase for trampoline jumping and pure entertainment. Alongside the mentioned competitions, many other events took place.
A standout performance was undoubtedly by Tamie Šeme, who wowed the audience with her hoop and silk routine. When combined with the spectacular performance by the acrobatic group Dunking Devils and DD Squad, it’s clear that this event once again brought Ljubljana to its feet.
Adding further value to the event was the special Fan Zone. Here, spectators and passersby could experience the action and the joy of jumping on trampolines. For this purpose, the largest garden trampoline, Akrobat XCITYX 17 x 12 ft, was set up, and the world’s biggest freestanding trampoline, Megatramp, made its debut, providing additional excitement for all visitors and competitors.
